The Ocarina

Customizer

The Ocarina Guide

Type notes in chat to play on stream. Hit a known song and the overlay replays it. Two looks, and chat can use Nintendo 64, Switch 2, or 3DS buttons.

How to play

The whole chat message has to be notes. Anything else is ignored.

Spaces or commas between notes are fine. Play a listed song in order and the notes finish (flash or fade — that’s on the customizer), then the full song plays. Extra notes after that in the same message are dropped — unless you jam.

Twitch, YouTube, and Kick chat can all play. Channel point redeem is only.

Look

Theme is the sheet and the pictures. Buttons is what chat types. They don’t have to match.

Setting What it does
Theme Ocarina of Time / Majora’s Mask, Ocarina of Time 3D / Majora’s Mask 3D, or Ocarina of Time (Remake)
Buttons Nintendo 64, Switch 2, or 3DS — works with either theme
Song complete Flash or fade out when someone nails a song
Background On Ocarina of Time / Majora’s Mask and 3D: none, solid black, or blurred black behind the sheet
Pixelate On Ocarina of Time / Majora’s Mask and 3D. Chunks the buttons and title, and the sheet a little
GameCube Mode On Ocarina of Time / Majora’s Mask. Green A button
Link Off by default. OOT Link or Remake Link plays behind the notes on every theme, with the colour screen keyed out
Show chatter's name On by default. Title becomes their name in their chat colour, then played the song. Off keeps You played

The original look flashes by default. 3D uses the same sheet with 3DS button art. The remake uses the new sheet, Switch button art, Roboto title on the parchment, and fades out by default. You can still pick flash.

Jam

Want to keep going past a song? Add [jam]. The notes still play, but the replay does not. Tags can go in either order with an instrument.

Nintendo 64

[jam][malon]up-m...left-m...right-l...............up-m...left-m...right-l...............up-m...left-m...right-m......left-m......right-l

Nintendo Switch 2

[jam][malon]x-m...y-m...a-l...............x-m...y-m...a-l...............x-m...y-m...a-m......y-m......a-l

Nintendo 3DS

[jam][malon]a-m...x-m...y-l...............a-m...x-m...y-l...............a-m...x-m...y-m......x-m......y-l

Notes

Five notes. This is the Buttons setting on the overlay, not the theme. Symbols < > ^ v work on every set. Tags like [sheik] and lengths -s / -m / -l still work the same.

Letter buttons clash. On Nintendo 64, a is the A-note. On Switch 2, a is C-Right. On 3DS, a is C-Up.

Timing

No dots? Notes use the customizer gap. Add dots and each . is 100ms instead — the gap slider is ignored for that wait.

right.......a...........down.....right.....a..........down

Seven dots is 700ms. right..up is 200ms even if the gap is 400.

Lengths

Stick -s, -m, or -l on a note for short, med, or long. Leave it off for the instrument default.

right-m.......a-l...........down-s.....right-m.....a-l..........down-s

Instruments

Put a tag at the start of the message to pick the sound. No tag uses whatever the overlay is set to.
